GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Women's Volleyball is back in action as they look to shake off a tough loss to end their week last week. The Golden Eagles open play this weekend against Lourdes on Friday, October 25 before ending the week against Defiance on Saturday, October 26. Women's Volleyball currently sits with a 15-9 (7-5) record which has them in fifth place in the WHAC Standings.

Last Week Recap
Women's Volleyball faced off against Concordia and Siena Heights last week for a pair of conference matchups. The Golden Eagles opened the week with a 3-0 sweep of Concordia behind Aubrey Johnson's 14 kills. They would then face off against Siena Heights and came away with a tough 3-0 loss at home. For the second straight week, the Aubrey duo of Aubrey Johnson and Aubrey Lenz earned WHAC Player of the Week honors.
 
Scouting Lourdes
Lourdes comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 4-21, losing their last 14 matches. It has been a struggle of late for the Gray Wolves as they have been swept in seven of their last 14 matches, going into the fifth set twice during their losing streak. They are led by Jolie Sobb who has 187 kills on the year.
 
Scouting Defiance
Defiance comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 9-18 with a matchup against Aquinas to open the week. After a six-match losing streak, Defiance got back into the win column with a 3-0 sweep of Michigan-Dearborn to right the ship. They are led by Jamia Murray who has 223 kills on the year.
