Women’s Cross Country headed to NAIA National Championships for the sixth consecutive year

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Golden Eagle women are headed to their sixth straight NAIA National Championship as a team qualifier, earning an auto-bid in 2023 after winning the WHAC Championship. Cornerstone comes into the NAIA National Championships in Vancouver, Washington ranked 23rd in the NAIA. Over the last six seasons, Cornerstone has finished among the top 16 as a team and looks to do so again in 2023. CU's best team finish came in 2021 when they earned third overall for a podium finish. 
 
CU is led by Haley Nieuwkoop who earned WHAC Runner of the Year and USTFCCCA Great Lakes Regional Athlete of the Year in 2023. Cornerstone has also seen significant strides from Kori Baumann and Jacie Remtema who each finished in the top 10 in their last meet and earned All-WHAC honors.
