GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Senior point guard
Christian Rodriguez achieved a major milestone on Wednesday night, becoming the second Golden Eagle in program history to surpass 500 career assists, recording eight in an 85-67 win vs. Lourdes. Cornerstone shot above 50% from the field for the third consecutive game as they remain hot and are now 10-4, 7-2 WHAC on the year. The team will look to extend their win streak to four vs. Aquinas at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 20.

- After the two teams traded buckets, Cornerstone got out to a five-point lead on a Cory Ainsworth layup and Christian Rodriguez three pointer to make it 12-7.
- A three by Lourdes Little Anderson gave them the lead back with 12:18 to play in the first half, 17-16.
- Cornerstone responded with a 7-0 run, highlighted by a pair of Cory Ainsworth layups to make it 25-19.
- Lourdes responded with a 10-0 run, highlighted by a Clif Snow three to regain the edge, 31-28.
- A late three from Tyler Baker and a jumper from Christian Rodriguez gave the Golden Eagles the 39-35 advantage at the half.
- CU began the second half on a 5-0 run that saw a Cory Ainsworth and one to go up 44-35.
- After a Lourdes technical foul, Cornerstone took command and rattled off a 11-1 run to blow the lead up to 21 at 72-51. Carter Nyp hit a pair of threes in the run for his first points of the game.
- Lourdes hit a three to cut it to 18, but Carter Nyp responded again with his third three-pointer to score nine straight points for the Golden Eagles.
- Lourdes was able to cut it back to as low as 16, but Cornerstone would not let it get any closer, earning the 85-67 victory for their third straight.
