DEARBORN, Mich. – Four Golden Eagles scored in double-figures as Cornerstone held off receiving votes UM-Dearborn comeback to earn a 65-64 win on the road. CU gets a big bounce back win to improve to 14-8, 8-5 WHAC on the year. Another tough road game is on the horizon for Cornerstone as they travel to Indiana Tech on Wednesday, January 28 for an 8 p.m. game.

- CU got off to a fast start behind the arc, as Gabe Meriwether and Brent Hibbitts each hit a three to get on top 6-2.
- The Wolverines responded with an 8-2 run to take their first lead of the game at 10-8.
- UM-D got up by as many as eight in the first half, increasing it to 21-13 with 11:52 to play in the period.
- Cornerstone went on a 7-0 run highlight by a three from Christian Rodriguez to cut the deficit to just one at 29-28.
- The Wolverines took a 36-32 lead into the half.
- UM-Dearborn went on a 5-0 run to increase their lead to the largest it had been all game at nine to make it 41-32.
- Cornerstone responded with a 10-0 run to take a 42-41 advantage on a Tyler Baker three.
- CU continued to hit from behind the arc, as Gabe Meriwether and Carter Nyp each hit one to go back on top by seven at 51-44.
- Tyler Baker dominated the second half, hitting two more threes to make it 59-49.
- After holding a 62-53 advantage, UM-Dearborn came all the way back to cut it to two with just 2:11 to play.
- Gabe Meriwether recorded a huge steal in the final minute when the Wolverines had a chance to tie the game, that gave CU the possession back.
- Cory Ainsworth then recorded an and one layup to go up 65-60.
- It was too little too late for UM-Dearborn as Cornerstone held on to win 65-64 and earn a season split with the receiving votes Wolverines.
