Brent Hibbitts debut. Hibbitts would score 12 points in the game (11 straight to end the first half) to go along with six rebounds in his first game with the Golden Eagles. After the loss, Cornerstone moves to 20-6, 13-3 WHAC as they get set to return home for senior day on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

- The Golden Eagles would get off to a hot start with a 7-0 run highlighted by a Tyler Baker three. CU also saw blocks from Gabe Meriwether and Sam Vander Sluis in the first 20 seconds of the game.
- Madonna would respond with a 14-2 run to take a 14-9 lead.
- Neither team would score for roughly a three-minute span as the score remained 14-9.
- The newest Golden Eagle Brent Hibbitts would make a big impact in the final three minutes, scoring 11 straight points for CU to give them the 34-29 lead at the half.
- The Golden Eagles would start the second half strong, as a bucket by Sam Vander Sluis would push the lead back to seven, tying the largest lead of the game.
- Madonna would go on an 8-0 run to take their first lead of the second half at 41-40.
- After trading the lead for a few minutes of action, Madonna would strike fire from the three-point line, hitting five threes' in a three minute span to go up by 12.
- Madonna would get the lead up to as many as 14, which was too large of a deficit for the Golden Eagles to overcome falling 79-72.
