GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. –
Sam Vander Sluis continued to break records on Wednesday evening, recording his 1,500
thcareer point on his way to a career high 30 points in a six-point win over Concordia.
Christian Rodriguez added 20 points to help CU move to 15-4, 8-1 WHAC on the year. The Golden Eagles will have Saturday off and will pick up action a week from today at UM-Dearborn.

- Just 2:41 into the game senior Sam Vander Sluis recorded his 1,500th career point and was a key contributor in helping the Golden Eagles get out to a 12-4 lead.
- CU would later go on a 9-0 run to increase the lead to as many as 15 in the first half.
- A layup by Kyle Hayes with just three seconds left in the first half would give CU a 44-31 advantage at the break.
- Tyler Baker would help CU get their largest lead of the game at 18, hitting a three with 12:41 remaining.
- A 7-0 run would help Concordia cut the deficit to under 10 for the first time in the second half at 72-63.
- The Cardinals continued to chip away playing great defense and getting drives to the hoop bringing the deficit to just two with 1:08 remaining.
- Christian Rodriguez would hit a dagger jumper with 29 seconds left in the game that would give the Golden Eagles an 85-79 home victory.
