Last Season Recap
Men's Volleyball had their best season yet last year as they finished with an overall record of 21-5, finishing second in the conference. Even with having a record year, the Golden Eagles fell short in the WHAC Tournament to Indiana Tech. It was a year of milestones and awards as the Golden Eagles saw Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-Conference player in
Ernest Broaster, Libero of the Year and First Team All-Conference in
Kyi Jagorin, and Setter of the Year and First Team All-Conference in
Patrick Voloch.
Joshua Beaumont and
David Galanes also earned Second Team All-Conference Honors.
Ernest Broaster also was named an NAIA Third Team All-American, making him the first player in men's volleyball history to earn All-American Honors. With returning every starter from 2024, look for the Golden Eagles to make more history in 2025.
Opening Season Gauntlet
The opening week for men's volleyball is a perfect start to see how your team does against some of the top competition in the NAIA. After opening against Calvin, the Golden Eagles travel to Kentucky to face off against three NAIA Top 15 schools in #4 Georgetown, #12 Reinhardt, and #14 Campbellsville. Georgetown and Reinhardt both appeared in the 2024 NAIA National Championship, falling in pool play in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Campbellsville lost in their conference tournament to Georgetown.
All three of these teams will be a good test for the Golden Eagles as they wonder where they stand against some of the best teams in the NAIA.
