Women's Basketball looks to rebound with a game against Grace

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Women's Basketball is back in action this week with one game as they welcome Grace College on Tuesday, November 12. The Golden Eagles are off to a slow start as they are currently 1-4 but will look to right the ship with a matchup against the Lancers.

Last Week Recap
Women's Basketball had one home and away game last week and came away at 1-1. The Golden Eagles opened the week with a road victory over Bethel 62-49 as they held the Pilots to 28.3% shooting as Olivia Kubik and Jaxi Long led the way with 15 and 14 points. They would then return home to face off against #3 Indiana Wesleyan and struggled offensively on their way to a 101-44 loss. Women's Basketball currently sits with a 1-4 record as they face off against their sixth straight Crossroads League opponent in Grace on Tuesday.
 
Looking for Offense
Women's Basketball is off to a slow start on offense as they are averaging just 55 points per-game while shooting 34.2% from the field and 24.8% from behind the arc. Olivia Kubik and Jaxi Long have been the bright spots for the Golden Eagles as Kubik is averaging 12.2 points with Long right behind her at 11. Women's Basketball still haven't seen a full game of Stephanie Ainsworth yet as she is averaging just 12-minutes per game as they are missing their 10 points and 10 rebounds a game player. Women's Basketball has another tough task at hand as they play Grace College Tuesday night.
