ADRIAN, Mich. – The Golden Eagles came into this matchup riding a 20-game win streak, going up against a tough Siena Heights team ranked second in the WHAC. Cornerstone started the game off slow dropping the first set, but they turned it around quickly and won the next three extending their win streak to 21 straight games. Needing one more to tie the programs longest win streak since 2016, they head to Lourdes for a 1 p.m. matchup.
Game Highlights: Cornerstone – 3 Siena Heights – 1 (17-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-7)
• Siena Heights got off to a hot start in game one going up early 8-3 forcing Cornerstone to take their first timeout.
• Siena Heights continued to dominate in set one as their lead grew to 18-10 before a kill by
Kylie Barron ended the Saints run.
• Cornerstone went on a 4-0 run themselves to force the Siena Heights timeout as the Golden Eagles are down 23-17 in set one.
Kaylee Dykema had three kills during their rally.
• Siena Heights would close out set one strong winning 25-17.
• Just like set one, Siena Heights came out strong in set two starting the match up 4-1 as
Olivia Keelean ended the run with a kill.
• The set would continue to go back-and-forth as Cornerstone and Siena Heights continue to trade points back and forth and all tied up 15-15.
Olivia Keelean added a service ace and multiple kills as well as kills by
Kathryn Detweiler and
Rylie Walters.
• Cornerstone would eventually go on a 5-0 run that saw their lead extend to 23-18 as
Aubrey Lenz,
Olivia Keelean, and
Kaylee Dykema added kills.
• Cornerstone would finish set two strong winning 25-19.
• The Golden Eagles scored the first four points of the third set thanks to big blocks by
Kaylee Dykema and
Aubrey Lenz.
• Cornerstone would extend their lead 11-8 as
Kathryn Detweiler had multiple kills and even
Patsy Morris wanted in on the action with a kill of her own.
• Before long, Siena Heights would make a quick comeback tying the game at 13-13 in set three.
• Cornerstone saw themselves down 22-18 before closing out the set going on a 7-0 run to win it 25-22.

Rylie Walters finished off the Saints with kills.
• It was all Cornerstone in set four as they got off to a hot start going up 7-3 to force Siena Heights to use their first timeout as
Kathryn Detweiler,
Kylie Barron, and
Rylie Walters all had kills for the Golden Eagles.
• The Golden Eagles did not let up as they extend their lead 15-4 as
Kaylee Dykema,
Kathryn Detweiler, and
Rylie Walters had kills to force Siena Heights to use their final timeout.
