Erik enters his third season as the men's golf coach after he has spent the last eight years across the road coaching at NorthPointe Christian High School where he has led the Mustang program to two State Championships, a State Runner-Up, while also earning MHSAA D4 Coach of the Year in 2018 and MHSAA Coach of the Year across all divisions in 2019. His program also succeeded in the classroom, with four Academic All-State honors.
Erik has coached one Newcomer of the Year, two First Team All-Conference Players, and three Second Team All-Conference Player after two years at Cornerstone.Â
Erik has had an extensive playing career as well, starting back at Taylor University from 1985-88. Since then, Erik has continued to play competitive golf from West Michigan golf tournaments, club tournaments, and in September he will be competing in the Michigan GAM Senior Championships.Â

Outside of coaching, Erik spent 35 years of his life, co-leading his family bakery and restaurant business Arnies Inc. that began in 1905. He currently serves as the President of Arnies Inc. in addition to being on the Board of Visitors at his Alma Mater, Taylor University.Â
