Last Week Recap
Men's Basketball took care of business at home last week in a 2-0 conference week. The Golden Eagles first took down the Cardinals of Concordia 96-71 behind Luke Rowlinson's 22 points and Kayden Bird's 21 points. They would then beat a tough UNOH team 97-88 thanks to career highs from Blake Stewart (33/10) and Andy Mora (22) to end a perfect week in the WHAC. Men's Basketball is currently tied for second with Lawrence Tech at 8-3 and sit two games behind Indiana Tech at 10-1

Finding that Offensive Groove
After a three-game stretch that the Golden Eagles averaged just 67.3 points, going 1-2, men's basketball has averaged 96.5 points in their last two games as they look to have turned the corner on the offensive end. The Golden Eagles have seen four different top scorers between those two games, showing the diversity when it comes to scoring. Blake Stewart had a 33-point game, Luke Rowlinson and Andy Mora had 22 points, Kayden Bird had a 21 point game. These contributions have helped them find that offensive groove in which the Golden Eagles have shot over 50%, while averaging 24 assists per-game. They will look to keep that going against Aquinas and Michigan-Dearborn this week.

Scouting Aquinas
Aquinas comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 10-8 (6-5) on the year. It has been an up and down year for the Saints as they have key conference wins over Madonna, Lawrence Tech, and UNOH but have also fallen against Cleary, Concordia, and Rochester Christian. The Saints hold opponents to just 71.3 points per-game on 44.2% shooting while they are averaging 72.4 points on 41.9% shooting. The Saints also average around seven made threes per-game, shooting around 23 of them per-game. Aquinas has three scorers averaging double figures in Devon Boyd (14.4), Jadakiss Lewis (14.1), and Caden Pokorzynski (12.6/10.1 rebounds) leading the way.

Scouting Michigan-Dearborn
Michigan-Deaborn comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 6-13 (4-7) as they face off against Lourdes to open the week. It has been a surprise year for the Wolverines as they already have more wins than they did all last season with a big conference upset coming against UNOH. Yet, they have troubles keeping their opponents score low as they allow 89.4 points per-game, allowing them to shoot 48.9% from the field. Cornerstone got the best of the Wolverines in their first matchup of the year as they won 104-67. Michigan-Dearborn is led by Jackson Reynolds and his 19.6 points per-game.
