Last Week Recap
Men's Basketball traveled across the state for two conference matchups last week going 1-1. Cornerstone's first test came against Lawrence Tech where they found it tough to take care of the ball and ended up falling 69-66.
Mason Brooks posted 19 points and right behind him was
Toby Woolcock with 14 in the game. The Golden Eagles proved to have a short memory as they took on Siena Heights in their next matchup and battled to a 67-65 victory. In a game where the team shot well from behind the arc
Jack Joldersma got it done on the inside as well as he scored 17 points in the win.
Mason Brooks also chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds which was crucial in the victory. Men's Basketball moves to 10-7 (6-3) on the year as they head into two home games this week.
Scouting Concordia
Concordia comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 5-10 (2-7) averaging 66.5 points per-game. Concordia is also led by Ray Washington-Battle who has averaged 16.3 points per-game this season. The Cardinals have picked up a couple strong wins in their season so far with narrow victories coming against Aquinas and Siena Heights. Concordia will have to play with that same energy if they have any chance at taking down the Golden Eagles on their home floor this week.
Scouting UNOH
UNOH comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 10-7 (6-4) averaging 85.3 points per-game. The Racers are led by Ryan Archey who has averaged 20.1 points per-game this season. UNOH is a fast paced and high scoring team that has the ability to beat anyone on any given night so the Golden Eagles will need to be prepared heading into this matchup on Saturday.
