GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Men's Wrestling competed in three duels today first against #18 Oklahoma City University. Cooper Mansfield and Thade Radosa highlighted victories in their weight classes to earn the 27-19 win in their first match of the day. Their next test came against #18 Central Methodist where they began to lose momentum and ended up being defeated 32-18. Cornerstone nearly started the match out flawless but the heavy weight classes could not hold on as they were swept away. In the final match of the day Cornerstone took on #3 Southeastern University where Trevor Marsman was the only wrestler able to find a victory. Southeastern University ran away with the victory as they defeated the Golden Eagles 39-6. 
 
In the first contest Cornerstone took the light out of the Stars fast with a victory from Thade Radosa by major decision. Cooper Mansfield then set the tone for the rest of the match as he pinned his opponent in a dominant win. Joe Lashuay and Jackson Turner also posted wins in their respective weight classes to take down Oklahoma City University in their first dual in Florida.

In the second matchup of the day Cornerstone fell short to Central Methodist but saw success early. Jeffrey Bailey kicked off the points for the Golden Eagles with a pin in the first bout to set the tone. Ian Boden and Luke Jaworski also pinned their opponents to give Cornerstone the early lead. Thade Radosa also won by major decision, but Cornerstone lost their momentum fast as they ended up falling 32-18.

In the third matchup of the day Cornerstone ran out of steam quickly. Trevor Marsman was the only Golden Eagle who managed to find a victory. The hosts defended their home court well in the match and will give Cornerstone much to think about as they look to bounce back after the new year.
