GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cornerstone men's basketball looks to continue non-conference play on Saturday as they travel to Indiana University South Bend for a 3 p.m. tip. This will serve as the final non-conference game before WHAC play begins for the Golden Eagles back home vs. UNOH on Saturday, November 18. CU comes into the game 2-1 overall after a dominant and balanced home opener performance vs. Kuyper College last Saturday. For more information on this week's action, visit the links below.

Finishing a Home & Home
Cornerstone concludes a home and home series with IU-South Bend on Saturday, after they played for the first time since 2002 last season. CU defeated IUSB 90-83 inside Mol Arena on November 26. All-time, Cornerstone is 10-2 against the Titans with most of those wins coming in the 1990's.
Ball Movement & Three Point Shooting
The Golden Eagles have executed well in two categories that Head Coach
Kim Elders prides CU basketball on in the early season, ranking top 15 in the NAIA in threes made per game and assists per game. CU is averaging 10.7 made threes per game, led by the duo of
Luke Rowlinson and
Mason Brooks. CU also averages 21 assists per game, led by 20 from point guard
Eli Steffen. Steffen has six or more assists in each of the first three games, while also scoring in double-figures in each contest.
Scouting IU-South Bend
The Titans have started the year 2-1 just like the Golden Eagles, falling to receiving votes Bethel University (Ind.) in their last game by three points. CU and IUSB have similar styles of play, looking to move the ball and using the three ball often. IU-South Bend has shot 53.1% from the field and 50.9% from three to rank in the top 25 in each category through three games. Individually, the Titans are led by junior Quentez Columbus who seemingly has not missed this season. He averages 23.7 PPG and is shooting 54.2% from the field and 77.8% from behind the arc. IUSB does have balance offensively though as well, with four veteran players averaging double-figures through the first three games.
