GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – In the highly anticipated home opener for Cornerstone University, it ends in a dominant team effort score of 48-3. Men's Wrestling came out swinging with a pin out of the gate in the 125 lbs weight class, as Jeffrey Bailey took down Henry Ford College's Jacob Campbell only 2:35 into period 1. The winning did not seem to stop for the Golden Eagles as freshman, Ian Boden, won his match by technical fall 19-4 in the 141 lbs weight class. Cornerstone's National Ranked Thade Radosa saw another win added to his tally, as he took down Henry Ford College's Alex Messing by fall with 4:31 elapsed.
A standout performance from Devan Johnson, who took down his opponent Daniel Benenson 16-0. Cooper Mansfield took a win in the 174 lbs class. Mansfield took down his opponent Eian Rush by technical fall 17-2 with 6:27 time played. Brady Heckathorn battled all match and eventually took down his opponent by fall with 5:53 elapsed. Sterling McLaughlin would then end the night taking down fellow big man by fall to end a dominant night for the Golden Eagles.
