Grand View Open Recap
Cornerstone faced some of the best competition in the NAIA and saw individual performances outshine the overall outcome of the invitational.
Trevor Marsman,
Thade Radosa, and
Sterling McLaughlin all reached the quarterfinals in their weight division before eventually falling.
Home Opener vs. Henry Ford CC
Wrestling has their second dual of the young season against a good opponent in Henry Ford Community College. It will be another good test for the Golden Eagles before competing again in a long Invitational over the weekend. Cornerstone will look to get their first win of the season right here in the Mol Arena.
Albion Invitational Outlook
This is the third straight year the Golden Eagles are competing in this invite and have gotten better each year. Last year, wrestling finished in fourth where they saw individual performances, they could be proud of.
Chris Williamson said, "The boys are wrestling well above their age", in regard to how the young team wrestled.
Trevor Marsman and
Joe Lashuay both won their respected weight classes with
Thade Radosa falling in the championship bout. With another year under their belt, Cornerstone will look to improve once more in the final standings and look to succeed in another tournament of top competition.
