Cory Ainsworth Career Program FG% Record
Senior Cory Ainsworth has had an outstanding start to his senior season as the big man is shooting a ridiculous 77.4% from the field as he led the team in scoring in each of last week's games. This season he is 82-106 from the field to bring his career total to 471-718. Currently, Ainsworth is 65.5% from the field in his career, which would give him the best percentage in program history if he can hold it. Ainsworth would pass an outstanding top five list that is led by Justin VandePol who played from 199-03 at 64.6%. Others on the top five list include Jim Eppink (1983-87), Kyle Steigenga (2014-18), Mike Long (1995-99), and Jared Crandell (1993-96).

Last Week Recap
The Golden Eagles lost just their second game of the year last week in a 1-1 effort. CU fell 81-60 at (14) Indiana Tech and defeated Grace Christian in a pair of road games to move to 8-2, 4-1 WHAC on the year. Both CU losses are vs. NAIA Top 25 opponents this season as they will get another test with an NAIA Top 25 on Tuesday vs. (2) Grace College of Indiana.

Bench Play
Through 10 games, Cornerstone now has three contests where their bench has scored over 40 points in the game, at UNOH, at UM-Dearborn, and at Grace Christian. The CU bench put up 43 against Grace Christian on Saturday, led by 11 from Zac Velthouse

Scouting Grace College
The Lancers are set up for long term success with a young team that has been dominant over the last two years. In 2021-22, Grace went 27-9 and fell in the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round group play to College of Idaho. In 2022-23, GC returns all five starters including 6-10 center Elijah Malone and 6-7 forward Frankie Davidson. The Lancers have started the year a perfect 10-0 and 4-0 in Crossroads League play with four of their five starters scoring 10 or more points per game led by 17.7 a game from Frankie Davidson. Rebounding and blocks is where Grace is so hard to beat as they average 11 more rebounds per game then their opponents and over three more blocks per game. Last year these two teams met, and CU fell by eight in double OT in Winona Lake.

Scouting Siena Heights
Siena Heights has struggled in the early season winning just two of their first nine contests and going 1-4 in WHAC play. Both wins came by under five points as the team has struggled to score it with just 67.1 PPG. The small forwards are always the strength of the Saints as junior Curtis Bell leads the team with 17.4 PPG and sophomore Davin Walker is right behind him with 12.6 a game. Siena Heights is coached by Joe Pechota in his 10th season at the helm as he holds a record of 104-158 during his time in Adrian.
