Wrestling falls 51-6 in third dual meet in program history

DEFIANCE, Ohio. – The Golden Eagles in just their third ever dual meet in program history fell 51-6 on the road at Defiance College on Saturday evening. CU was forced to forfeit multiple matches due to a few injuries and being a first-year program. Trevor Marsman was the only player to get points for Cornerstone, winning due to a forfeit at the 125lbs match. Cornerstone forfeited five matches, giving Defiance 35 of their 51 points. CU will host a quad match, their first home event in program history on Friday, December 17 for their next meet. 
 
125lbs – Trevor Marsman wins by forfeit 
133lbs – Seth Majewski def. Devan Johnson (Fall 2:04)
141lbs – Alexander Smith wins by forfeit
149lbs – Cortez Bradley def. Matthew Fales (Fall 0:16)
157lbs – Alejandro Castro def. Cooper Mansfield (Fall 2:30)
165lbs – Matthew Beard wins by forfeit
174lbs – Sean Rankin wins by forfeit
184lbs – Joey Perez wins by forfeit
197lbs – Mason Morris wins by forfeit
285lbs – Jonah Schlegel def. Brendan Mahar (D, 4-0)
 
What's Next?
Cornerstone hosts their first ever meet with a quad-meet that will bring Indiana Tech, Muskegon CC, and Grand Valley State to campus on Friday, December 17 at 2 p.m.
