GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Golden Eagles will have another long road trip as they travel to the WHAC Regular Season Champion and top seeded Indiana Tech Warriors on Saturday for the WHAC Tournament Semifinal game. CU was the only road team to win their quarterfinal game, as they defeated Lourdes on Wednesday 72-69 behind
Christian Rodriguez's 28 points. Action will begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 29 as Indiana Tech and Cornerstone split the regular season series each winning at home. Live video, audio, and stats will be available for the contest at cugoldeneagles.com.

Quarterfinal Recap
The Golden Eagles kept their season alive last time out, going to Lourdes for a tough road WHAC Quarterfinal test and pulling out a 72-69 win. Cornerstone has now won five consecutive games and shot above 45% in all of those matchups.
Christian Rodriguez was the only Golden Eagle in double figures going for 28 points with six made threes. CU will now take on the top seed and WHAC Regular Season Champion Indiana Tech on Saturday in Fort Wayne at 3 p.m. The two teams split the regular season series each winning their game at home.
WHAC Tournament Success
Cornerstone has won 10 WHAC Tournament Championships under Head Coach
Kim Elders and has now advanced to the semifinals for eight consecutive seasons.
WHAC Quarterfinal Recap
The Golden Eagles were the only lower seed team to win their WHAC Quarterfinal game as Indiana Tech, Madonna, and Rochester all held on their home court. Indaina Tech scored 99 in a 99-88 win over UNOH. Madonna blew out the seven seed Siena Heights 93-66. Rochester won by 10 over the six seed UM-Dearborn 70-60. The three seed Rochester will travel to the two seed Madonna on Saturday for the other semifinal game that will also take place at 3 p.m.
Rodriguez Staying Hot
Junior point guard
Christian Rodriguez has scored in double-figures in each of the last five games to help the Golden Eagles to a five game winning streak. In those five games, Rodriguez has been on fire from behind the arc, hitting 19 threes including a career high seven at Aquinas and six at Lourdes.
WHAC Awards
Cornerstone saw multiple players get honored by the WHAC in the post season awards, highlighted by
Christian Rodriguez's First Team All-WHAC honor. Junior
Tyler Baker was named Second Team All-WHAC and
Cory Ainsworth was named to the All-Freshman Team.
Kyle Hayes earned the WHAC Champions of Character Award and four players earned All-Academic in
Riley Costen, Josh Magley,
Gabe Meriwether, and Dan Zolinski.
Scouting Indiana Tech
Indiana Tech was named the WHAC Regular Season Champion for the first time since the 2003-04 season with a 21-10, 16-4 WHAC record. Despite losing the teams leading scorer Josh Kline to a season ending injury the last time the two teams met, Indiana Tech has stormed on to win six of their final seven contests. The Warriors are one of the best defensive teams in the country, ranking top 10 in NAIA DII in total blocks (133), field goal percentage defense (40.8), and scoring defense (69.1). Indiana Tech also has the 2019-20 WHAC Defensive Player of the Year on their roster in senior guard Mitch Morken. Former Cornerstone assistant coach Ted Albert is 4-3 against his former team and mentor
Kim Elders.
