WHAC play opens Wednesday at Rochester for No. 7 Men’s Hoops

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The No. 7 ranked men's basketball team opens league play this week with a pair of games on Wednesday and Saturday. CU travels to #RV Rochester for the mid-week game before coming back home to host Siena Heights in the annual Military Appreciation Games at 5:30 p.m. Both games will be carried live on the CSPN.

Scouting #RV Rochester – Head coach Klint Pleasant
The Warriors, under veteran head coach Klint Pleasant, are 3-2 on the season with a pair of wins over St. Clair College and a neutral site victory over Ohio Christian while the two setbacks are to Spring Arbor and Saint Ambrose. Rochester, who also played an exhibition game against Eastern Michigan last week, have five players averaging in double-figures, led by Armand Cartwright at 18.0 per game. He is followed by Justin Nafso at 14.0 per night and the point guard also leads RC in steals (5) and is second in assists (13).

Scouting Siena Heights – Head coach Joe Pechota
The Saints, under sixth year head coach Joe Pechota, enter the week at 2-3 overall and they open league action on Wednesday at home against UM-Dearborn. Siena Heights is averaging 74.0 points per game on the season and is led by Keith Jordan Jr. (15.8) and Jaquantay Rouser (12.7). Five other players are averaging at least 7.4 points per game as the Saints average 44.6% from the floor and 37.2% from behind the arc.
