Final week of regular season features Aquinas and UNOH

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The No. 1 ranked men's basketball team concludes the regular season with a pair of big matchups against cross-town rival Aquinas on Wednesday and Northwestern Ohio on Saturday. CU visits the Saints before celebrating senior day on Saturday inside Mol Arena against the Racers. Both teams are fighting for playoff positioning as CU has clinched the No. 1 seed while AQ and UNOH are tied with UM-Dearborn for the fourth seed.

Scouting Aquinas – Head coach Ryan Bertoia (1st Season - Interim)
Interim head coach Ryan Bertoia and the Saints are one of the hottest teams in the WHAC as they enter the week 16-12 overall and 12-8 in league play. AQ has won six out of their last 8 games which included a win over then No. 18 Indiana Tech as well as Northwestern Ohio which helped Jake Bullock garner WHAC Player of the Week honors. Aquinas is led by their senior guard who is averaging 19.9 points per game and he is followed by Jeremy Williamson at 16.6 as they are the only two players in double-figures. As a team, AQ puts up 79.3 points per game while allowing 74.1. They rank No. 10 in the NAIA in 3-pt FG% (.399) as three different players have made at least 45 triples.

Scouting UNOH – Head coach Chris Adams (10th Season)
The Racers, under 10th year head coach Chris Adams, enter the week with an overall record of 17-11 while they are 12-8 in league action. UNOH, who is tied for 4th with UM-Dearborn and Aquinas, faces the Wolverines on Wednesday before heading to CU on Saturday. Reigning WHAC Player of the Week Lawrence Jackson leads the way for UNOH as the senior is averaging 18.0 points per game and is followed by Sadeeq Bello at 14.5 and Corbin Pierce at 13.1. As a team, the Racers are nearly even in points per game as they score 74.5 while allowing 72.3. UNOH ranks No. 12 in the country in rebounding and No. 17 in FT% (.752).
