GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Conference play opens this weekend for the No. 1 ranked Golden Eagles as they will host Concordia on Saturday at 3 p.m. and follow with an 8 p.m. road contest at Siena Heights on Tuesday before heading into the Thanksgiving holiday. CU has won its last four games overall and will enter the league schedule looking for its tenth all-time WHAC regular season title.

Scouting Concordia – Head coach Ricky Yahn
The Cardinals, under 5th year head coach Ricky Yahn, are 4-2 overall and 1-1 in league action after a win over Siena Heights on Wednesday night. The roster features a balance of four seniors, five juniors, three sophomores and a plethera of freshman. Recently 1,000 point scorer Connor Phee leads the team in scoring at 22.0 points per game while he is joined in double-figures by Jalen Thompson (15.0) and Jared McDaniel (13.5). CUAA puts up 74.0 points per ame while they average 39.3 rebounds per game and 13.8 assists. The Cardinals get in the paint for a majority of their points as they connect on only 4.5 triples per night.

Scouting Siena Heights – Head coach Joe Pechota
The Saints are led by sixth-year head coach Joe Pechota and boast an overall record of 2-1 while they are 1-0 in the WHAC after a win over Concordia on Wednesday night in OT. Siena Heights is led on offense by Tony Jackson who is averaging 16.7 points per game in the first three contests and Nick Randle (11.7) while the team puts up 66.7 points per game and gives up 65.7. SHU is shooting 45.5% from the field, 28.2% from behind the arc and 62.8% from the foul line.
