GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cornerstone opened the game on a 29-5 run in the first half that covered the first 7:16 of play and they never looked back as they claimed a 98-49 win over visiting Marygrove in the WHAC opener. The victory is the fifth straight for the Golden Eagles to improve to 5-1 overall as they will head to Ann Arbor on Saturday to face the Cardinals at 3 p.m.

Game Flow
Cornerstone came out firing on all cylinders on the offensive end as they scored 15 of the first 20 points ending in one of three first half 3-pointers from
Michael Bradshaw which forced the Mustangs into a timeout. That run kept going as Cornerstone scored 21 of the next 25 points to extend their lead to 27 on a triple from
Jake Brubaker.
Leading 50-18 at halftime, the offense did slow down a little but the balanced scoring for CU was what carried them to a win as every player finished with at least four points on the night. The largest lead of the game came with 2:29 to play when CU was up by 54 points.
