Rachel Younts is the female Golden Eagle Athlete of the Week after helping the softball team open their new field with a split against Indiana Tech.

The pitcher hurled a gem in the opener as she went all seven innings while allowing just two runs on four hits.

Younts and her team will have a busy week with a trio of doubleheaders this week against Lawrence Tech, Cleary and Siena Heights.
