Sam Vander Slus is the male Golden Eagle Athlete of the Week after posting a pair of outstanding statistical games for No. 1 Cornerstone. The junior opened the week with 26 points, 16 rebounds, three assists and five blocked shots in CU's 78-62 win over Concordia.
He then posted 20 rebounds, nine points, four assists and five blocked shots in the team's 90-89 overtime loss to UM-Dearbprn in the WHAC Semifinals.
Sam and the team will play next in the NAIA National Tournament, being hosted this year in Sioux Falls, S.D.
