Colin De Young is the male Golden Eagle Athlete of the Week after opening the Indoor Track & Field season with a school record in the 5,000m at the GVSU Holiday Open.

The sophomore, who finished sixth individually at the XC National Championships just two weeks ago, broke the school record of former NAIA National Champion Derek Scott.
