Sam Vander Sluis is the men's Golden Eagle Athlete of the Week after helping the No. 1 ranked team in the country post a pair of home wins over Alma College and Goshen College.

In Thursday's 73-58 victory over the Scots, Sluis had his fourth double-double of the season as he posted 20 points and 10 rebounds. Then in Saturday's 97-67 victory over the Maple Leafs, the center finished with 10 points and 8 rebounds.

Sluis will lead CU into just one game this week as they host Concordia on Saturday in their WHAC opener.
