Val Richter is the Golden Eagle Athlete of the Week after a solid weekend at the Findlay Classic in Ohio.

The sophomore opened the meet on Friday as part of the Distance Medley Relay that posted an automatic national qualifying time of 12:28.62. Richter ran the opening leg (1,200) in 3:49.7.

Richter then came back the next day and ran a PR in the 3,000, to take top honors in the event.

Val and her team will compete Friday at the GR Sports Hall of Fame Classic, hosted by Aquinas College.
